Introduction to Experience Points #
Experience Points (XP) are crucial for the growth and advancement of assets in SimFly. All items sold by SimFly Bank, whether they are Pilot Licenses, airplanes, or airports, start their “career” with zero experience points, ready to be developed through in-game actions.
Allocation of Experience Points #
Experience points are earned by assets through actions performed by a pilot during flights (missions). These points are inherently tied to the asset and cannot be sold, purchased, or transferred, retaining their value even if the asset is sold to another player.
Distribution of Experience Points in Missions #
During a typical flight mission, experience points can be simultaneously assigned to multiple involved assets, such as the Pilot License, the airplane used, and the departure and arrival airports.
However, assets owned by the SimFly Bank do not accumulate experience, even if used in a mission.
Independence of Experience Points from Asset Level #
Experience points are awarded based on the pilot’s actions and are independent of the current level or grade of the used asset. However, the level or grade of assets does affect the amount of PAX earned in certain situations.
The Dynamics of Experience Points #
At the completion of each flight mission, assets accumulate Experience Points (XP) based on specific criteria. The allocation of these points is as follows:
- Pilot Licenses: 1 XP is awarded for every minute of flight recorded within the established timers. For flight time that exceeds these timer limits, XP is adjusted downwards as per a percentage detailed in the reference table. It’s crucial to understand that flight conduct does not affect the number of XP earned. Rather, it solely influences the amount of PAX (the in-game currency) earned, thereby rewarding the pilot’s skills and decision-making during the flight
- Airplanes: Every minute spent in flight, from takeoff to landing, earns the airplane 1 XP
- Airports: Airports earn 1 XP for each takeoff or landing operation conducted
The experience points accumulated by an asset are intrinsically bound to it and cannot be transferred to other assets or players, serving solely to facilitate its individual level progression. Upon the sale of an asset, the experience points associated with the item are directly transferred to the buyer, thereby preserving the asset’s intrinsic value.
Progression and Level Advancement #
Assets grow in level by accumulating experience. For Pilot Licenses, progression ranges from the “Cadet” category (level 1) up to “Senior Captain”, with increments of 10 levels for each category.
Airplanes and airports, on the other hand, have fixed categories but can progress from level 1 to 10.
Benefits of Advancing Grade/Level #
Advancing the grade or level of an asset leads to greater PAX earnings and improves its gameplay characteristics, increasing its value both in terms of gameplay and marketability.
For example, a higher-grade Pilto License offers longer flight times, while a higher-level airplane is more attractive for pilots seeking missions.
XP Accelerator Kit #
These kits, which can be won as prizes in specific missions or drawn at the end of a flight, temporarily increase the XP assignment coefficients for an asset. This allows for faster progression, making the assets more effective and desirable.
Monitoring Asset Experience #
SimFly offers an intuitive feature to monitor the XP accumulation of each asset. A horizontal bar displays, in real time, where the asset is in its level progression.
This information is easily accessible and can be used as a search filter in the Marketplace, allowing players to evaluate and choose assets based on their level of experience.
Conclusion #
Experience points are a fundamental pillar in the SimFly ecosystem, significantly influencing the value and effectiveness of assets in the game.
Through a well-structured system of XP allocation and monitoring, players can strategically develop their assets, enhancing their gaming experience and increasing their chances of success both in missions and in the Marketplace.
This mechanism offers a level of depth and engagement that enriches the SimFly experience, making it unique for flight simulation enthusiasts and digital asset investors.
